Today was the hottest yet. 101 degrees with “heat indices” of 112. Joe and T. came home from a fishing expedition feeling nauseous and chilled, a sure sign of having gotten too hot. They recovered after a bit of soup and a short nap. Miss F did not go out. She ran the air conditioner all day. She also made many jars of tomato sauce as well as pickles. And roasted cherry tomatoes! In a hot oven! This did not seem wise to me given the excessive heat. Plus she has much work to get ready for Monday meeting. Wisdom is not her priority I suppose. And who am I to comment? Look at me, I’m mesmerized by the heart of the morning glory.
