No one who can read all these books in the course of a week or so should complain about not having enough time! Not me, mind you. I have all the time in the world. But Miss F. complains about time periodically and she has read as much as I have. Surely this kind of book is sort of like a toy. Conclusion: she has a LOT of time for fun and games. Today she went to the library, only to find out that in the time since her last visit, they’ve instituted fines! They have not charged any overdue fines for 20 years. She owed $130, but they forgave the fines since she didn’t know about them. She brought home another pile and put the due date into her calendar. She dropped off T. at college, gave him a hug and left him there. One boy down, two to go.
Ouch! We have always had fines and I almost always have some (I figure I am contributing to them getting more audio books). But a big fine for me would be maybe $10.
