Misaligned

for Joan R's @joansmor lighting group http://365project.org/discuss/general/29122/light-amateur . This is lit from the side with a single light aimed towards the backdrop. I spent a LOT of time trying to get the highlight off the front; final got it down to a tiny slit ... and didn't notice that the lines didn't quite line up. I wonder what would have happened with the reflection onto the left side of the glass had I moved the glass a bit further back from the background.
That is so cool. How did you manage to get that effect? Did you have something black and white in the glass?

This is not easy and you rock for trying it. Have you noticed the other attempts. I am just blown away by these shots.

I have no earthly idea how you did this but it is awesome. You are really branching out and experimenting with some spectacular photos.

Impressed with your experimentation, Francoise.

@skstein @grammyn This is (I learned) what water in a glass does to a background. There is a sheet of white and a sheet of black posterboard in back, then a lass of water in front. Yep. That's what you see in the glass. Might be called refraction.

@francoise interesting. I'll have to give it a try.
