Perambulatory 23

It makes sense that, when walking in an exotic location, one should photograph exotic vegetation. I believe this to be a paper mulberry, not a common sight where I live. But Lucy and I found ourselves in Baltimore while Liam made another visa bus pilgrimage to and from New York (successful this time). I was going to reconnect with an old friend who isn't that fond of dogs, so I thought I'd better wear Lucy out a bit. We walked a long way through a neighborhood that has changed immensely since I lived close by. It used to be quite run down. Now it's full of shops, one of which advertised "hand crafted hair" and featured all sorts of earth-colored potions that no doubt enhance beauty in an alchemical fashion. Another was called "Mon petit shoe": it sold a mixture of shoes and chocolates. Lots of art shops. Lots of eateries (think organic). When I lived nearby, the only eateries I remember in that neighborhood were a pizza joint, a bar and and diner where you could get a good cheese omelet. Even the vegetation by the edge of the ravine seemed to have changed. I certainly don't remember paper mulberries, though what you don't have names for is harder to notice. Lucy did wear herself out. Of course, she guzzled so much water upon arriving at my friend's house that she promptly threw up the water.
nice closeup, good detail, colour, and bokeh

FAscinating plant tha I have never heard of before. Your composition of the shot and the bright color make it very artistic and the bokeh is the frosting on the cake!
