Somehow these big city train stations are so much better with all their old high-backed waiting benches. But now they're cleared out for wedding receptions, cafes, shopping, museums and the like. The waiting rooms have typically been moved to a low-ceiled, harshly lit, crowded room with plastic chairs. I guess vagrants are less likely to sleep in them or something.
