Broccoli by francoise

Broccoli

for get-pushed challenge to do green on green. I don't think this is quite it yet because of the black around the edges making this more greens on black... But so far this looks best. I might try other color.
@summerfield Is this in the ballpark? Or is the idea to have just one color in the picture? Working on another couple of ideas.

I think you've done a lovely job capturing the green in the broccoli. It really pops in this light.

I like it and especially the strong lighting from the side. Your practice has paid off!

Super crisp photo, and those spears look just as crisp. That's a frame worthy kitchen picture. Nicely done.

sorry, i typed out my comment this morning but i see now that it didn't go through. in any case, this is near the ballpark just looking for parking. :-) this is an excellent capture, francoise. the details are stunning, the lighting is perfect and the colours are true to life and really makes broccoli appear nutritious and delicious. however, my understanding of a white on white or black on black or other monotone shot is that you have a background with the same colour tone as your subject. lighting has much to do with the shot. see here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2013-11-27

also, if this is giving you problems like if it's taking too much of your time, let me know and we can change your push. :-) thanks, lady.
