Settled on this after too many failed attempts trying to photograph smoke coming out of the shell. Now I'm really appreciating the smoke pictures I have seen on 365 (and elsewhere).

jesus murphy, for real, that's gunpowder? and for smoke try lighting a candle then blow off the flame. but you need to be quick with your camera. also have a black background so it's easier when you do an overlay. also tag this sixws-20 i think ghe challenge for six-word story is still on. let me check the date for you. nice set up!
