@woodlandsphotog Thanks, Richard! I shot a similar one on December 4 . . . she mentioned a nutcracker in the podcast and that gave me the idea for this one . . . I collect nutcrackers so it was a special shot for me all around. So many wonderful suggestions in that podcast . . . I really like that composite technique . . . I will definitely try that one.
There's really something here that keeps calling to me. Your colors In you broken.are great and sharp focus on him. It makes me think of the planters peanuts holiday commercials and Robert Downey Jr.!
Lol I really like it! Fave.
@gaylewood Thanks Gayle ... you're posting some very cool images too! Where in Texas do you live? I lived in Houston for 3 years until just over a year ago when we moved to Paris.
@jamibann I live in San Antonio. That must have been quite a culture shock for you going from Houston to Paris. Paris is my ultimate dream city to visit and/or live.
@gaylewood Well, you know, we loved Texas. We've lived in Paris before, and believe it or not, I'd have preferred to stay in Houston! Houston has a lot to offer. But I'm not complaining! I have only been to San Antonio on a couple of occasions. Twice just to visit with friends and family and once to do the Valero MS 150 bike ride. Lovely city!
Nice bokeh in the background. Would you believe, ,I have never seen The Nutcracker?? I can't believe it either. It's done every Christmas Season here in the San Diego area...... Congratulations on being on the Popular Page with this.
@aglennc Thank you, Anita! The Nutcracker has been very special for me for a long time . . . I've been collecting nutcrackers for over 30 years and every year I bring them ALL out for Christmas.
@aglennc Hi, Anita! This is the first time I've actually measured them . . . the tallest is 25 inches and the shortest is 4 inches. Wide variety from plain and simple to quite elaborate. :-)
Lol I really like it! Fave.
