Having more fun with bokeh today . . . I am learning that there is a lot of problem solving involved in photography . . . amazing how much this shot changed from my original idea . . . and I already have several more ideas on how to improve it. I did have a lot of fun experimenting once again with bokeh and I definitely plan on more in the future.
Experimenting is part of the fun :)

@nadia_mt Yes, I totally agree! I taught elementary school for 26 years and I remember how excited the students would be when they learned something new . . . that's exactly how I feel now with everything I'm learning about photography.

This is so clever! Now I have two things on my list to try - this and selective color. I'm afraid both shall have to wait until 2016. I really like your photo.

@colleenculhane Thank you, Colleen! I darkened the room and used 2 spotlights for the cup and teapot. At first I wasn't sure the background would be totally black because the spotlights were quite bright but it actually worked.

Great shot, I've been trying to get some light bokeh, but I'm struggling with it and just don't have enough time at the moment to play with it :)

@merrelyn Thanks, Merrelyn! Yes, it definitely takes some time playing around with it, especially if you're learning as you go, as I am. :-)
