I'm sure this is a common bird for many but it is very special for me . . . my first bird photo from my yard bird feeders! I looked it up in my Birds of Texas book and it appears to me to be a Carolina Chickadee. Birdwatchers out there, please correct me if I am wrong.
@tunia Thank you, Tunia! I put up new feeders so I'm quite excited to have birds visiting . . . I find them fun to watch and hopefully will be good subjects for more photos. :-)
It certainly looks like a chickadee of some kind to me. I love your comp and dof and the position in which you captured this little darling, fav for me!
@milaniet Thank you, Milanie! I'm so glad you got to see this photo because you are my inspiration for bird and squirrel photos. :-) I was thinking about you yesterday as I was sitting patiently waiting to get some shots of these chickadees. Today there were some cardinals at the feeders so tomorrow I might try for some cardinal shots. :-)
@tristansmum Thank you for your comment and fav, Stephanie! I sat for quite awhile waiting patiently for them to land on that perch and eventually they did. They really are cute birds. :-)
Great shot, especially for a first time! And what a cute little bird with and I love the name chickadee, another great thing about 365, learning the English names of birds.
@muriel Thank you, Muriel! They are such cute birds! Along with photography, on 365 I am learning so much about places all around the world. Every day I learn something new and interesting. :-)
