@helenhall Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and fav, Helen! I spent quite a bit of time trying to capture a bee on a blossom but they were too fast . . . then this fly landed in the shot and stayed right there on that blossom the entire time I was clicking away. I didn't change the focus so he's not really clear and crisp, that's probably why you didn't see him initially. :-)
@365projectorgjenfurj Thank you for commenting, Jen! The blossoms certainly are intensely fragrant! I just looked up Native Bees in Texas since I'm not familiar with them and that fly just might be a native bee! Thank you for sharing that information! :-)
Gorgeous! Your tree's loaded! We've just had all out citrus trees thinned of the little dead-wood branches, but it certainly didn't deplete the fruit crop! Maybe next year they'll be more fulled in with beautiful leaves and flowers like this! (Don't you love having citrus always at hand in the garden?! It pains us to pay for a lime in Canada!)
@kategoring Thanks so much for commenting, Kate! No, this isn't my tree. We are dog sitting for friends at their house and this lime tree is in their backyard. :-)
@Weezilou Thank you for your wonderful comment, Louise! This marvelous lime tree is at the house where we are dog sitting . . . I'd love to have one of my own! We're fortunate because our friends do keep us well stocked with limes every year. :-)
I like the colours and textures and dof on this, the sturdiness of the fruit and delicacy of the blossoms. Also, I love the taste of lime, so thanks for reminding me of it!
