A fairly straightforward set up . . . black backdrop, incense stick(s) about a foot away from the backdrop, spotlight pointing at the incense stick(s) to the left or right side, remote controlled speedlite on the opposite side of the incense. There are a lot of great smoke photography tutorials online. I initially watched several on YouTube . . . great step-by-step directions and suggestions for settings. I always enjoy shooting these smoke images! :-)
