30 Days Wild - Day 28 by gaylewood

30 Days Wild - Day 28

After searching for several days, I finally found a few of these beautiful and interesting Lady's Slipper orchids growing wild in a ditch at the side of the road. From what I've been told, these are treasured Manitoba orchids and are considered endangered...flower lovers are strongly discouraged from picking them.
Another beautiful photo :)

How beautiful. It looks like the front petal is a water pitcher. Hopefully they will continue to flourish.
