Dove

I was surprised when this white-winged dove flew up and landed on the feeder today because usually they stay on the ground to eat. I always scatter seed on the ground for them. I love their bright-orange eyes and blue eye shadow.

He is a beauty! Years ago there was a dove on our front lawn. I was convinced it was injured because it was on the ground. We caught it and took it to a rescue place! Oops! I have since learned more about them. At least my heart was in the right place! Fav.
