Mystery Insect by gaylewood

Mystery Insect

Today I used extension tubes with my macro lens for the first time. It was drizzling and windy so my time shooting outside was limited. The tubes belong to my brother-in-law so while I'm here in Ontario I'll be able to spend more time experimenting with them. Unfortunately, I don't have an identification for this insect.
Great capture

Excellent photo. It looks like a type of mosquito, but it doesn't have the sharp pointy part. Fav

Wonderful detail and capture, I've got extension tubes but only used them a few times until I got my 60mm macro lens, I just never thought of using them with the macro lens!! Got to have a go. Fav
