Orange Hawkweed by gaylewood

Orange Hawkweed

I came across these vibrant wildflowers with fiery orange blooms on my walk today and couldn't resist stopping for some photos. The Orange Hawkweed (also known as Devil's Paintbrush) is a new wildflower for me and I was disappointed when I read online that it is considered an invasive plant in several Canadian provinces and northern states.
Great color! Wow

It looks so pretty. A shame that it is becoming invasive. Looks like it could be quite prickly too.

How funny, we were admiring these on the riverbank in Scotland yesterday. I never knew the name though. Must try and get some shots of them today.
