Today would have been my mother's 89th birthday. This is a photo of the two of us taken in 1997. She's been gone 20 years but it feels like just yesterday I was calling her for our daily chat.
I had to scan this photo since I don't have a digital copy and then decided to convert it to B&W because the colors appeared blotchy after scanning. This is the first time I've used a scanned photo in my project but I've always loved this shot of the two of us and I wanted to include it in my 365 album.
What a special shot of the two of you! You look alike and can see what a happy time that was. There's no one like your mother! My Mom passed away in 1996 and I feel the same way. I think of her often and feel like she was just here. I will always miss her.

Oh Gayle, this is a lovely shot. Such a beautiful memory. I posted photos of my Dad and my Mum on their birthdays last year too. Dad died when I was 3 years old so I only have vague memories of him and Mum died 23 years ago and I still miss her.
It is wonderful to have photos like this to remember the happy times. This is close to my heart as I lost my mum 23 years ago and she would have been 80 tomorrow ..
