I drove for 40 minutes out to this place, looking to get some good images of the timbers with fall color. Not so much. This place is a little south of our home, and the colors have not begun to change there as fast as up here, to my disappointment. Especially since I walked a 2.8 mile trail trying to find some good color, and was not all that successful at all. Ahhh, the life of a photographer, right?
I know how you feel! Nice shot anyway. Clear Creek? As I'm sure you've noticed the maples are turning here in Columbus but not much else. Know somewhere with lots of maples?
@johnmaguire Actually John, this was taken in Lithopolis, at a place called Walnut Woods Metro Park, specifically the Tall Timbers section of that. I got a couple of nice fall color shots late last fall, but almost all of the leaves and needles were off the trees. Sounds like it would be impossible to get a good shot then, but I was somehow able to. Not aware of where there are a lot of maples in color just yet, although like you, I have seen some beautiful ones here and there ,,,,,too often in someone's yard.
