"MOSAIC" Another try at "framed". Snuck up into a church belfry to get this one; missed the best light though. Will try again sometime...
Sneaking around the belfry...what fun! And what a beautiful shot

@cath Hi Cath; hope you're doing ok. XO. This shot: just one more" bat in the belfry!" Thanks for the"nod". So much of the enjoyment for me is in doing WHATEVER it takes to get THE shot. After 40 (plus) years of photographing, you wouldn't believe the things I've done to get that "must have" shot; sometimes just short of peril. Well, actually, that too. Sometimes the story behind my picture is better than the picture itself! Boy, oh boy, do I love being behind a camera. Be well, Les

Beautiful glass! where is this?
April 25th, 2011
Hi Marinda- The the glass pictured is in a charming, LITTLE church in Manchester, CT. (USA) The glass used in this church at that time (1888) is "milky" in quality, rather than single, clear colors. It was more highly prized back then. Swedish craftsmen built the inside of the church, but I don't if they did the glasswork also. I have more photos; maybe I could post them sometime. Thanks for your interest. Also, I checked out some of your work, and WOW! Such unique, creative, eye-popping photos. Nice going! Be Well, Les

@glimpses WOW it's so cool that you know all that! Usually people just go "oh thats pretty - [take photo]" I'm looking forward to future posts, it really is such beautiful colors. And thank you for the compliment, can honestly say no-one has described my work quite like you have there haha, I appreciate it :)

@marinda I made a posting especially for you today; more of that stained glass from the 1888 church. Hope you like it! Keep up the great work! Be well, Les

@netkonnexion Good Morning, Damon - Thanks so much. I bet around your area there are some REALLY old churches, but do they have stained glass? That was my favorite thing about England and Scotand: the old cathedrals, castles, monastaries, etc. Even a pile of rubble was a thrill because it had been there for maybe 700 years or more. (Bye the bye, after feasting my eyes on all of your great shots from Duxford, I passed along your "365" site to someone who I thought might enjoy them, hope that's ok. Be well, Les
