I got a touch of frostbite when I captured this Red Tailed Hawk. The wind chill was -15 w/ 10" of snow and drifts up to my hip. I dashed outside w/o mittens, scarf, or boots, and didn't even zip up my coat. It took 30 min. to slowly approach him, wade through the snow, and find an angle where he wasn't obscured by branches. My hands were so numb that I couldn't feel the shutter button! I love this because sometimes it's all about the capture, and I got it!

Very nice capture, and I can appreciate the adversity you experienced. I experienced the same two days ago; yesterday started out cold but was ‘only’ just below zero C by the early afternoon.
@mjalkotzy Thanks so much Martin. I appreciate that you took the time to view and read the 'narrative." (I always do so w/ your photos; I don't want to miss a thing .:):)
