Timid, Cheeky, And Adorable

Chipmunks are so much fun to watch; they never fail to make me smile. And this little guy was no exception.
(With my surgery on the 26th, I don't how it will effect my ability to follow you all, and make my postings. But I'll be around! And I can't WAIT to have a "new " thumb! :-D) Les
He is too cute! Great capture. How are you feeling? Are you okay about Wednesday?

@nicolecampbell Oh Hi Nic! I just left you a comment. Yep, everything is fine, and Wed. can't come soon enough, thank so much for remembering and for asking. It is going to be really challenging, but that never got in my way. And only good can come from it. Elsie is going to LOVE having me home, and NOT busy with something. :-D
I had my time to feel sorry for myself, and then it was time to move on. Back to my old self, I feel gratitude throughout my day, and that feels a lot better. Also, I have a pile of books to dive into - WOW! What a luxury that will be. (Already started Ken Follet's World Without End -sensational!!) Be seeing you, all the best to you and yours, Les xx

@brumbe Yippee ! Hurray! It's Paula! Hi there, and thanks ever so much for checking in; it's always wonderful to hear from you.
(And yes, I am super-pyched about getting my thumb back. It's a bit embarassing to know how I went WAH WAH to the whole world not long ago, but I suppose everyone has their weak moments. You mentioned your hip surgergy some time ago, and I thought: "What? She'e too young for that!!" Guess the yoga wasn't enough? Bloody hell, I'd rather have my puny boo-boo-thumb surgery than hip surgery!
Don't know if I'll be able to hold my camera for the coming weeks, so I'm glad to have tons of stuff I haven't downloaded yet.) See ya, Les x

@glimpses - Hi Les, all the very best for tomorrow. I hope the operation goes really well and you enjoy spending time with your gorgeous cat and reading lots of books while you recover. I will be thinking of you and sending hugs your way. Do take care of yourself. Nic xxx

@maggie2 Much appreciated Maggie; couldn't resist hanging around long enough to snap this litte guy (he was playing "hide and seek" in a stone wall :-D) I have a BOODLE of photos to work with, some not even yet downloaded; should be FUN. (Thank you kindly for your thoughts and prayers; they mean a lot. Nothing happens by chance or accident, so there is a reason for all this; it's part of a bigger picture. This I accept, and even welcome, becuase it probably means there is something here for me to learn. So there :-D Thanks my friend, Les x

@nicolecampbell Thank you kindly, Nic........I have supreme confidence that eveything will go just as it's supposed to, which is to say : perfectly! I won't be able to drive for who knows how long (it's my hand to shift gears with) so I've laid in supplies for the duration, made soups and stews, borrowed tons of music from the library, brought all my houseplants inside, put in the storm windows, etc, etc. Prepared for whatever! I am now certain that there is something for me to learn from all this; I accept that wholeheartedly. Thanks for everything, Nic, Les xxoo
p.s. Just heard the weather forecast: dramatic weather change may bring measurable SNOW on Saturday! That's Connecticut weather for you; turns on a dime! :-D

Holding thumbs that your surgery went well. ;) and that it heals quickly too. I am having computer problems at the moment so haven't been posting regularly but hope to back soon.
My boys have never seen a chipmunk before - I'm sure they would find them highly amusing, as you do. x
