A Northern (male) Cardinal who was not spooked by me, nor the camera lens. Unusual since they are very shy.
I just wanted you to know that I'm "still in the game." A soon to be updated profile will fill you in on things. With responses, favs, and follows when I checked in yesterday, I just HAD to post.
Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
@merrelyn Thanks Babs. Would you believe that the glint in his eye is the sun! I have been teaching myself how to achieve a dark background in full daylight. Mr. The Cardinal is an early result.
@lynnz Thanks for stopping and commenting Lynn. A secret to getting so close is to go to where you see they are feeding, OR calling for a mate, and return there EVERY DAY at the same time so they are not startled by my presence. Also, I hide in, or on the edge of the shrubs, etc.
@merrelyn I heartily agree! I was high school spec. ed., and I was spending waaaay too much time in meetings, and doing paperwork. Also, I abhorred having to "teach to a test" so their "numbers" came out favorable.
Great close up shot of this beautiful bird. Fav
Thank you for : your visit, the nice lines and follow. Will follow you to.
The main intention of taken pic.`s are to save beautiful moments and views, and to share those. You`re very welcome.
Hello, and thank you for the follow and the fav...wow! I also take photos to record beautiful moments; it is something I was born to do. Sharing them with others brings some Peace into the world..
Your English is VERY good; sorry I do not speak Dutch.
Have a gentle evening,
Leslie
@vesna0210 Thanks for stopping by. Luckily, the bird (a Northern Cardinal) is common, and they stay here all year long. Also, they mostly mate for life. They are a treasure.:) :) Have a gentle night, Lesl
