Zawadi got tired of waiting for everyone to get their shoes on for our walk this morning so she picked a flower from one of the bushes in the yard.
Because of the possible tension surrounding the national elections we have not been able to explore as we would like so all my pictures are of activities and people around the orphanage. We are in a very safe area but I am looking forward to next week when we will be able to get out and see more.
who can resist this sweet looking girl? sometimes i wish i was a lot younger and i can adopt a kid or two. and sometimes i wish i thought about this when i was younger. but i was busy raising siblings and parents and whatnots! can you make her pose for you for a full head shot? she is really stunning! i mean, look at those side glances!
Oh, such a cutie and the flower matches her top perfectly! I googled orphanages in Arusha and got lots of matches. Which one are you at? I'm so sorry that I won't be able to meet you in Tanzania :( And where are you staying?
She is adorable and has some really pretty flowers there. I am so glad to find you on this trip. Your people photos continue to amaze me. Stay safe. FAV
She is even more beautiful than the flower she's holding! I'm glad you're safe and will still have an opportunity to get out and about later. Sounds like a wise decision to wait and enjoy the children instead.
@summerfield Sorry I didn't get her to pose for the full head shot! Perhaps I can find one in my files later. You are doing plenty to save the world dear girl! We can't be in all places and I am certain what you are doing is very important too! God bless you for caring!
@jayberg Thank you so much Jay! Sorry it has taken so long to respond. I was quite busy while there and electricity and internet were occasional commodities! I really appreciate you taking the time to look and comment! It was an amazing experience!
@kwiksilverhttp://www.neemavillage.org/Neema_House_Arusha.html I hate that you couldn't get there too but I understand what a sacrifice it would have been! Touched that you would even want to ! They have a volunteer house that we stayed in around the corner form the orphanage. It was really quite nice.Glad you like this shot of my little cutie!
