@wyomingsis@francoise@olivetreeann@louannwarren@annied@ludwigsdiana@kwiksilver@tunia@linnypinny@summerfield@eudora I didn't realize there was this kind of texture on it until I saw this close up. I know it is a very old piano because the keyboard cover carries the name Hardman Peck and company "In 1884 Dowling left the company, and it was reorganized as Hardman, Peck & Co., incorporating in 1905. Hardman, Peck & Co. made a range of upright pianos, grand pianos and player pianos in the early 1900s." there is an initial (which happens to be a K) and what looks like a date 5-15-33 written on the side of the lowest C that I have always assumed was from a piano tuner. My parents bought it for me when l was a senior in High school for my senior recital. As I recall it was $1000 which in 1966 was LOTS of money.
