I recently posted a moderately well composed shot of some preparations for making jam. Today it was jelly and this is the reality. Mess everywhere. Getting the juice out of blackberries to make jelly (because there are just too many seeds) took way more time than I wanted it to and was way messier than normal. This shot is completely unposed. All I did was scoot it all together to get it into the frame.
@mcsiegle If someon had not given me free blackberries I never would have done it @randystreat I was definitely questioning my life choices before I was done! @dutchothotmailcom yes, yes and yes Thanks Esther @shutterbug49 You aren't wrong about the staining but I did get good results @ludwigsdiana There is something about fresh made that is more satisfying than store bought for sure. Lucky you that hubby makes it for you @30pics4jackiesdiamond only a small portion of it actually. The foam I skimmed off the top was delicious! @joansmor isn't that the truth?! @la_photographic Thanks so much Laura @homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa it sure is! @rensala not at all during the process but definitely after it was all done! ;>} @tunia I did eat the foam I skimmed off the top but haven't had any in the jar yet
See… you have such innate composition skills that even when you just “scoot it all together” it comes out well composed. Look at it with your photographer eyes and tell me that is not a well composed photo!
It would be far messier in my kitchen- and it would probably land on something white and ruin it! I do like the "decisive moment" aspect of this kitchen shot.
Bet it tastes fab!!

@kjarn I was starting to feel the same way before I was done, Kathy!
