Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is a City Park in Colorado Springs. Charles E. Perkins bought the land in 1879 for a summer home. He never built on it leaving it natural. When he died in 1907, he wanted the land to be donated for free public use. His children donated the land to the city of Colorado Springs in 1909. It is a natural landmark in Colorado Springs.
