One Afternoon in Maine by hbdaly

One Afternoon in Maine

The weather forecast for today was dire - even for the coast. But we decided to risk it and headed to Maine for no good reason at all! We had no plan and no schedule and it was probably one of the best days we've had in a long time. We ended up at Fort McClary in Kittery based solely on the brown sign we saw as we got off the highway. (Hey State Park people - those signs work!!) It was an old fort from the 1800's. It protected Portsmouth harbor. Now it just serves as a great view and a great place for boys to run around and explore. The sea breeze was a lifesaver too. It was pretty hazy today so the far away pictures of the harbor weren't that great but I really liked the way this one turned out. We were inside the fort and Cash stepped into my picture to look out at the boats. Never had a moment of bad weather. And we even missed out on a tornado watch if we had stayed home so all in all it was a perfect day.
What an excellent shot. Very very cool. and what a great keepsake shot for the future :)
