It is raining today, and it hasn't rained around here in forever so that is a good thing. But it is also a Monday and a soggy Monday is not so good for the inspiration - or the motivation so that is a bad thing... I decided my whole goal for a today's picture was to make it something rained on. Voila!! Soggy weird plant in my yard! I have no idea what this is - it just sort of appeared in my yard when it got too hot for me to care about weeding. So I'm assuming it is a weed. But as weeds go, it is a pretty darned interesting one so I've decided it gets to stay! (Ok, so do the boring ones at this stage but who's counting!!)
If anyone has any ideas of what this might be, I'd love to hear it!
Is that a pokeberry that just hasn't turned purple yet? It makes a very good, very strong purple dye, but it's also poisonous. However, I used to play with it all the time as a kid and I'm still standing...
