We got a late start planting the sunflowers this year so they've only just now bloomed over the last week or two. I have to admit, I am enjoying them more than usual this year - probably because it is no longer too hot and I can actually be outside to admire them. Their simple sunniness brightened my day today and made everything seem a little less frazzling. I think I'll have to remember this planting schedule for next year. Now if only I could remember when I actually got them in the ground...
