We took the boys on a hike on Sunday to a great mountain that had a fire tower on top with spectacular views of Massachusetts and New Hampshire (and probably Vermont too...) The trail was great - although not so well marked... And the map we were using seemed to have been made with a little creative license (i.e. wrong!!) so getting down took us twice as long as we expected. The boys held up well though and did not complain as much as I expected - I wouldn't have blamed them if they did. Finn had a few melodramatic moments where he was convinced we would never make it out alive. "I feel more dead than alive right now!!" was an actual quote... But this was the moment when we finally made it out of the woods and onto the beautiful bright field by the parking lot. As they say, there was much rejoicing...
