This is our "Elf on the Shelf." I would tell you his name but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Depends on which kid you ask... (Finn calls him "Fokker" - named after the guy who created the Red Baron's airplane. Of course... Apparently "Elfie" just didn't cut it!) He has been "hiding" around the house since December started, watching over the boys behavior and reporting back to Santa. He is in a new spot every day (although twice he almost got caught not moving until the boys were about to come down the stairs - lazy little thing!! ;) He has had to get very creative with his hiding spots since the kids are quite good at finding him. I alternate between being annoyed by him and thinking he is the greatest thing ever. The kids get so excited when they see him though that the second choice usually wins the day! :-)
I'm glad I'm not a kid, I think I'd be really scared too!!! (though he looks cute, and I used to be convinced all my dolls and stuffed animals held parties every night when no one was looking...)
