I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree
-Joyce Kilmer

Hectic day - very harried so no new picture. Therefore I turn to the simple beauty of Nature to get me through...

Taken last fall on a hike with the family. Probably my favoritest ever picture taken so far on the iPad.
This has such a magical/fairytale feel. Amazing iPad shot!

beautiful shot and thanks for sharing the photo and poem excerpt. as an aside my grandfather was in the Rainbow Division (42nd Division) with Joyce Kilmer in WWI. I don't know if their paths ever crossed, but it makes the poet more real to me especially as this was one of my father's favorite poems to quote. A special memory with my dad was going to the Joyce Kilmer National Forest in North Carolina - http://www.blueridgeheritage.com/attractions-destinations/joyce-kilmer-memorial-forest.

@pinktornado39 Thanks Laura - that is really interesting stuff about Joyce Kilmer - it is great that you have such a strong connection. I didn't even know about the National Forest. I think it is going on my "list!" :)
