Found this little fellow hopping around my yard this morning when the boys and I were headed to the bus stop. At first I was worried that he was abandoned or AWOL out of his nest, but then I realized that the Mommy robin was right above me in the tree watching his(her?) progress. And she was NOT happy with my proximity, let me tell you! He spent the day getting the lay of the land, hopping here and there, all the while with Mom (and friends) watching from above - chasing off bully Blue Jays and the like. I made sure to keep my distance. Neat to watch...
