Still Life with Market Basket

This may not look like an exciting photo most people, but to me - and probably half of southern New England - it is the best thing I've seen in ages!! There was a grass roots boycott of this supermarket chain over the past month around here. It was sparked by a family feud of epic proportions! I was happy to join in and show my support until the ousted CEO was returned - but boy was it not easy. Amazingly enough, the boycott held, the CEO is back and all is right with the shopping world. I headed there right after work today and, as you can see, scored myself a few deals to boot! Laugh all you want but I am irrationally happy. Not to mention stunned and amazed that it seems to have ended so well...
are those american money prices...eggs two for a buck!

@chard to be fair Richard, the eggs expire next week - thus the good deal... With the boycott, a lot of produce sat and sat and now they are trying to unload it. I am happy to oblige but it looks like I'll be eating a lot of ham and eggs in the next week! ;)

@chard we just had it for supper - it was delicious! Don't worry - I've got leftovers...

Your shopping tastes are quite worldly -- Kentucky ham, Canadian bread and Greek yoghurt. The 100 mile diet isn't all it's cracked up to be. Happy breakfasts!

@bette hahaha, I didn't even think of that - I was just excited for the deals. And if I had to go 100 miles to get my food I would be in much better shape, that's for sure! ;)
