My ten year old - at the age when compromise becomes more of an art form... I have been cutting his hair from the time he was two. He finally decided that was not working for him anymore... (I only have one haircut in my arsenal - self trained - mostly conducted with fingers crossed...) So I broke down and took him for a "professional" do today. He was looking for something trendier, I guess. Well his hairdresser had purple hair, so that was a comforting start! Although she did have the good sense to give him a nice Ed Grimley spike while she was washing his hair - and gave me time to take a picture of it - so she was okay in my book! Now, I can't verify that the finished product really looked all that different than it does when I cut it, but Mike was happy. And if he is happy, then I am happy and all is well....I must say! ;-)
