The Not-So-Early Bird Seems To Be Doing Just Fine...
Saw this Robin hopping around the yard when I got home from work today. I thought it was just being thoughtful and posing for me since I didn't have a picture - and was too flat out to even consider bring creative - but it turns out this is Mama Robin from the nest I took a picture of a few weeks ago.
I think she was hoping I would go away since I was sitting right below her nesting spot - but finally she gave up and flew over my head and I could immediately hear the happy peeping of the little ones on the receiving end of the worm. I'll try to get a picture of the babies another day - when we're all a little less stressed out... :-)
