Today is David's Birthday so we started the day off right by celebrating at the Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast. Finn and Mike were hard at work cleaning up after everyone, but they found some time to stop for a picture with Dear Old Dad. Good kids, good pancakes, good picture.... It's definitely a good day here. :-)
@Weezilou Hi Louise. So nice to see you. :) I admit I'm having a little trouble keeping up with 365 these days. I was already out of sorts at the beginning of the year, but I have to admit that the loss of Richard has really poleaxed me more than I ever expected. Knowing I will never have his funny comments on my lame little pictures anymore has made me so sad.... It is really strange to miss someone so much that you never even met. I'm sure you know what I mean.... But I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I know I need to get more involved with everyone else I am still following here. There are so many wonderful people and wonderful pictures to see. I am getting there. Your kind words are always so appreciated. Thank you. :-)
@hbdaly Wow Holly, I am with you emotionally every step of the way! Richard was one of a kind, and I was speechless and heartbroken when I received the news. (He and Sue were childhood friends and Sue and I came to know one another and become good friends when I visited Chicago. She's been to visit us in NS and we really thought Richard would come up.) He was clearly a gentle soul, and he wouldn't have known what to make of it that he was cared for so much. I share this loss with you, and I get a twinge when I see his name and comment on a long-ago photo. He's certainly not forgotten... Thanks for sharing with me.
