Golden trees on the Great Ouse

The sun emerged tardily (or so it seemed) from behind the trees and broken cloud to bathe the frozen atmosphere in a warm golden light this morning along the River Great Ouse in Bedford.

This one best viewed on black.

Thank you all for your kind and thoughtful comments. I am really encouraged.
what lovely scenery.

@blueberry1222 @gaylewood thank you both - the sun did the work for me this morning. The black shows up that red debris in the foreground. So here is a question - would you crop it off - at the expense of loosing the top of the tree reflection, or airbrush it out? An how about the person walking - I wasn't sure if they added or detracted from the composition... just wondering ....

@helenhall I would airbrush it out so as not to lose any of the wonderful tree reflection. The person walking was not distracting at all for me. I was so totally pulled into those gorgeous gold trees and the reflections . . . that part of the image is so strong that my eyes were not at all pulled away by the person walking. Of course, that's my personal opinion. Fortunately we all have different viewpoints visually. My husband is an artist and we usually have totally different opinions about my photos. I can totally understand you wondering about these areas in your photo . . . before I post a photo I go over it so many times to be sure everything is "just right" and as soon as I post it, I usually notice something that looks questionable in the image. :-)

I have walked that path before. It has such a lovely surrounding park especially when it is all planted up with flowers. Just love the reflections and I too like the person walking on the path, it adds movement. Beautiful and FAV!

@gaylewood exactly. I didn't notice the red in the foreground until I put on the black background. Yes I think airbrush is worth a try. @daisyditch I am lucky enough to live just around the corner from here. Thank you for your helpful comments.

Colour, comp, pov and reflections are gorgeous, and I love that little spot of red from someone's jacket on the right. Definitely a fav for me.
