... even too early for the joggers and dog walkers on a Sunday morning, it would seem. Our youngest popped by for just one night in between his finishing at University and the next project - which is performing at the Edinburgh festival. So he was duly collected, fed, took advantage of the washing machine, and retired to a comfortable clean bed. Our reward was to deliver him to the station so he could catch his £3 megabus from London to Edinburgh early in the morning.
I have never been an early riser, but Michael (I'll give my husband a name!) returned from the station and suggested that I should leap out of bed and get on down to the embankment where the lighting was good for photographs. So I dragged my bones down the road before breakfast and was not disappointed.
Well, it was certainly worth dragging your bones out for! Wonderful shot Helen. Love how the trees have been planted to create that walk and canopy overhead.
The visit by your son made me smile Helen. I know exactly what you mean!
@marshwader sorry to give the wrong impression - I was still in Bedford when the photo was taken - it is my son that went to London to catch his bus. So it is just down the road from me and by the river.

I think morning is the best time of the day !
