pink

One of the many flowers I am attracted to from the church yard I pass on one of my routes to and from work and where the majority of my bee models hang out.

I'd love to post more architectural and urban shots but Bedford town has little to commend it when looking for urban interest.

I have chosen this to post because I have used a new technique within photoshop - applying a filter (in this instance a touch of neon glow) to a duplicate layer in order to slightly increase the pink in the background. The difference is subtle but it worked for me.
Has a soft, warm feel, nicely done. fav Bedford looks to have some nice buildings - St Paul's church, corn exchange, bridge, riverside. And many buildings are interesting, even if not notable - and the POV you adopt etc.

@ivan You are probably right Ivan. The bridges are great to photograph - which I do regularly. As for the rest, perhaps I should try a bit harder!

@helenhall I like pix of buildings, all kinds! If you use Nik software (now owned by Google and I think a free download now, was expensive when I bought it!) this can aid presentation.

Your bee models!!!!!!!! That made me laugh out loud - I love that you call them your bee models :) :) This is a lovely shot of beautiful flowers, and that's funny because I would have no idea you processed the photo. It's interesting to know about the pinks in the background... One day I'll get Photoshop and play! My little free program is very limited...

I see what you mean about the background - it's very pretty and shows off the dusky pink flowers perfectly.

@ivan Thanks for the encouragement and help. Watch out for more buildings and townscapes. i'm working with photoshop which has plenty of options for 'improving presentation' - just need to gradually learn more about them.

@kerosene Always glad to make you laugh. You do so much, and are so skilled without photoshop that I suggest you don't need it. You might get so hooked that you no longer spend so much time out and about with your lovely family. It's addictive!
