Sweetness after the rain by helenhall

Sweetness after the rain

Today presented as rather dull and definitely wet. I was going to declare it devoid of photographic opportunity but realised that on the contrary - the opportunity is always there for the taking. My attitude, or distractions, may cause a poor crop of observations but that is down to me. The world around is never devoid of interest.

In an opportune gap following the rain, I went looking once more amongst the trees. In contrast to the horse chestnut of Wednesday, I focussed on the sweet chestnuts nearby. As the light reached through intermittently, I was challenged to capture the momentary glimpses of shadows and reflections amidst the movement of the leaves.
Wonderful way the greens are layered.

Interesting light - almost like underwater! This must be a chestnut - that prickly green thing?

Pretty shot with the softness of the leaves and the light against the sweet chestnut casing.

@gaylewood thank you Gayle. Sometimes we just close our eyes to it - but to me it is like music. It is the 'music beyond the noise'
