Advent Window Twenty Two

Apocalypse, Bedford and the Aftermath Dislocation Principle

So just at the time when we are approaching the jollity of Christmas festivities, this "sardonic and subversive" model village arrives in our small town at the end of its tour around the country. No accident that the showing is in the Panacea Museum and the very garden that the believers decided was the original site of the garden of Eden. The beginning becomes the end - in this instillation which depicts Bedford as the scene of the apocalypse and the survival of the police force to build a new Bedford - dragging McDonalds into the scene.

I couldn't make head nor tail of the analysis on Jimmy's container. It makes a diversion from the Christmas story - but not a happy one. And after 10 minutes, I was back to the Christmas planning.

I wish I had managed to pick out a quarter of what is depicted on the website.
Great photo. Love the POV.

Certainly unsettling - as art should be.
