Morning fire on icy lake

My first outing with the camera in 2017.

Yesterday I upgraded to Ace membership with the intention to carry through with the project after an erratic period of posting. lets see how this goes.....

A welcome return to routine as 12th night arrives and the Christmas season fades into a pile of leftover, and no longer attractive delicacies.

I walked the long route by the river to work, in the hope that my senses and eye for a picture would be reawakened. The morning light was kind, and the sun reflected on the icy lake gave me enough to rekindle my appetite for going on with the project. So here is my new day one!

The lake does look to be on fire but I can feel the chill in the air here. Must have been uplifting to witness this sunrise though.

@maggiemae I didn't use picmonkey. Had a quick look at it last night - looks fun. If I need to edit, I use photoshop at the moment - fortunate to have an old copy on my old computer - but for how much longer?
