Set out today, with no back-up breakfast yellow shots under my belt, safe in the knowledge that there were some yellow benches in the boat house that I was eying up yesterday in my search for orange. Even better, I was in good time to take the detour.
Each day at the moment is revealing more and more colour, as spring unfurls at an alarming rate. Even the swans have resumed their places along the riverbank ready for nest building. And oh the yellow - from the bright bands of daffodils, to the emerging catkins and the centres of freshly opened daisies; the strong yellow lichen glistening on the gravestones and the boldly opened croci in splendid display. Then, to finish the day, the bright sun, having done its work, sinking behind the trees and leaking yellow into the sky.
I still chose to show you these bench style boat rests, but might just have to put some of the rest into one collage to celebrate the day.
The description of your yellow day definitely brought a smile to my face, Helen. Great shot of these yellow benches. Terrific color and your composition works well. Next, I'm going to visit your yellow collage. :-)
