damsel in distress

things are pretty busy ... driving up to Cheshire this evening and the clock is against me. So here is one from yesterdays collection. Technically it isn't good but I liked the movement in the wings and it definitely represents the 20 mins I spent whilst these two gave me the runaround. I was the damsel in distress, trying to capture them in flight!

Hope to catch up with viewing soon......sorry!
Quite abstract and almost ethereal...

They are so hard to capture in an image -- I like how you've conveyed the mood in this.

I loved reading about your "damsel in distress". I feel like that sometimes when I'm trying to catch a photo. I love the motion of the wing.

@ivan yes, I thought the abstraction of the image is what suited it best under the circumstances.
@taffy thank you. I will, of course, keep trying to get something better.

@moonmtn thank you - it is always a bonus if the words entertain! I realise how much patience is involved when it comes to nature photography.

I think the colors make a really nice abstract- and you do get the sense of the insect even though you can't clearly see it.
