onlookers over octagon lake (or casing the joint)

This was taken soon after arrival at Stowe gardens. It amuses me, but then I am in the know regarding the photographer's set up. I couldn't understand why he was going for this shot as it was some kind of open day for the classy private school which uses these gardens as its grounds, and the Stowe house as its classrooms. So many people were milling infront of the house beyond the lake, and a solid row of bright orange bouncy castles obscuring the façade of the house.

Meanwhile, Dad and husband, study the grounds map to determine which route we will follow - will it be vice, virtue or liberty. Sadly, Dad's legs no longer take him as far as he would like, so exploration was limited.
Capturing the photographer - I like it. Did he realise what you were up to? The grounds do look fantastic. I'm sure your father enjoyed his day out.

@flowerfairyann no he was completely absorbed in his set up, which appeared to be for a full on classic shot of the front of the house. Which was why I was so perplexed.

Nice shot. I like how you got your husband and dad and camera guy all in the frame.

Maybe he was taking a photo of the wildlife on the lake.
