And he's off! by helenhall

And he's off!

Humour me will you?

It should have been deleted without further ado, but I just like it. Especially with that one foot still fixed firmly to the tree.
Haha!! I bet we all have shots along these lines, but this one is quite artistic with his motion.

I like it too!

Neat!
October 6th, 2017
I'm another one that likes it!
October 6th, 2017
Camera shy!! 😀 Made me smile ☺, nice focus on the foot though

happy to humour you - love the bokeh, and the whirly nature of the body, and that sharply focussed claw
October 6th, 2017
It works because that's how squirrels are - they whizz around the garden, always sure-footed.
October 6th, 2017
Fun capture. Yes, that foot really gives emphasis to the momentum of his flight.
October 6th, 2017
Love it. I have been whizzing around just like this all week, so I know the feeling.

@onewing I hope you are keeping one foot firmly on the ground too Babs. Thanks for the comment.

@365projectorgjenfurj thank you. At least I know that I had the focus right.

@helenm2016 you are right. Thank you Helen.

@pistache thank you so much Clare for your lovely comment.

@carolmw Worth posting to get a smile.

@suzanne234 I am so pleased that you do.

@ziggy77 thanks Jo.

@onewing why is life so hectic at times:)
October 6th, 2017
@domenicododaro it seems there is a certain appeal, after all. thank you.
October 6th, 2017
@taffy Yes, I couldn't have designed the blurs better myself.
October 6th, 2017
An accurate depiction of nature - most wildlife darts off as soon as you begin to think you might actually capture it. And appropriate that the foot is in focus as yesterday's squirrel seemed to have had a foot amputated!
October 6th, 2017
@redandwhite Ha! that has been bothering me about yesterday's photo as well. I'm sure the foot must have been there, just a funny angle that made it look missing.
October 6th, 2017
Very cool. The blur works perfectly.
October 7th, 2017
Ha! I have had so many blurred photos of squirrels taking off like this but I agree, some of them are quite pleasing. This image is definitely one that works well, especially with that foot in focus, not moving. :-)

I like it too, the curve of the branch is lovely and I don't mind a bit of blur
October 7th, 2017
A greatly timed shot! :-) Love the motion and focus on the paw.
October 7th, 2017
I've taken many a shot like this with the squirrels and chipmunks in my back yard. Great capture of movement- and I do like that one in-focus foot!

Great shot.
