The result of another lunch time urban exploration in search of Colton style images.
I followed Balsall Street West to see where it would take me, and soon hit the prison walls - towering over a small brick garage from which a cleaning business was operating. It reminded my of the small dilapidated garage in the shadow of the Separation wall as it runs through Bethlehem, and from which a small family business fights for survival.
As you can tell, there has been no hint of colour or texture in the sky for days now!
I remember this building well when we used to go shopping in Bedford. I love the brickwork.
I may have told you already, but my great great great grandfather spent three months in Bedford Prison in the 1850s for poaching rabbits. He lived in Shefford and I think they had 10 children, so probably needed the rabbits for food. He got caught a second time poaching and spent a further 6 months there.

Interesting shot
