I did say at the beginning of the week that I would be aiming to practice some portrait photography - even that it would be the focus of my 52 week dogwood challenge "wild card". I forgot about that yesterday when I posted to the challenge.
There hasn't been an opportunity at all, but my eldest once again obliged (I showed him all the nice comments you had made about his picture a week ago) when he was with us today for morning coffee and pastries.
I asked him to sit in our conservatory where I figured there would be sufficient light to have a go at something high key but apart from that, I didn't ask for any poses. I was grateful that he didn't pull funny faces - he must have grown out of that now!
I have a series of three - in various stages of high key and this one is the least processed of those. I will post the other two in my other album if you would care to take a look - I would love to know your thoughts.
This is so impressive; my preferred ones are this and #3 and they are very different, as you know. #3 resembles a charcoal or pencil sketch, this, to me, has more dimension. I wish could do this! Inspiring. (by the way,my hubby still makes funny faces!)
