The snow has fallen #fallen #fence

In fact, the snow has fallen on the fence. which means I can put in my entry for the tag challenge being run here: https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/31148/let-s-play-tag-tag-challenge-150-that-is

Overnight Friday, we seemed to have more snow than anticipated and everywhere was covered in up to six or more inches of virgin snow.

So I donned my wellington boots and got out for a couple of hours. It is pretty much now all melted, and I'm all of a dither because I have lots to share, and here I am posting a post covered in snow and looking for all things coloured. Let me tell you, there was not a speck of colour out there in the environment yesterday other than the robin redbreast who was playing games with me to avoid a photoshoot.

Apologies: I got behind with viewing and absorbed with editing the far too many captures, and now find it impossible to catch up. Having spent several hours, I have to cut my losses and stop. What's more, I haven't replied to any of your comments on my images for ages. So, feel free to pass my by as some arrogant rude self-important amateur photographer.
i shan't be passing you by. oh no siree. i am also way behind with replying to comments ... it gets like that for me every so often ... and i hope that most people on 365 will forgive and move on. re your tag, i certainly hope you don't feel small! your creative, varied and inventive images are a high point in my feed, and i very much value your wise comments (when you have time to make them!). i really like the crisp focus you found on those snow crystals, and the leading line, and the little hint at fence texture

Ahh I'm pleased I'm not the only one to have a Robin get the upper hand.
Your considered and thoughtful comments must take some time, I certainly don't think anyone will think anything of a few missed here and there

I really like your choice of focus and your POV for this photo, Helen. Very nice! It seems to me that everyone gets behind on viewing and commenting at some point in this 365 journey. As Clare commented, I think most people forgive and move right on. :-)

We are having similar weather here in Croatia. I haven't seen color in the outside for more then a week. Grey clouds, snow, wind, icy rain, grey sky...And this is so not typical. I can't wait for sun to come out again.

@pistache I was touched by your response Clare. I try not to let my complete lack of self-confidence spill out onto my project too much, but from time to time it happens and then I feel bad. I much appreciate your kind comment.

@suzanne234 thanks Suzanne - kind of you to say so. I managed one shot of the robin - which may get a look in here - out of focus but perhaps I can get away with claiming an intentional dreamy look. It really was playing games with me.

@gaylewood thank you kindly Gayle. I think I get behind very regularly and it doesn't seem fair that I have such loyal visitors to my project like yourself and not return the attention in kind. However, I will continue to do my best rather than beat myself up about it.

@cherrymartina Yes I feel the same. So much lack of colour outside becomes very difficult. I hope the sun shines for you in Croatia soon.

it's unbelievable how there are only a handful of entries for this challenge and i omitted to comment on this. i'm afraid that it would be you again this next go-round as the votes seem to be in your favour. :-) it's like we're playing tag! pun intended, too! aces, my friend.
